For over a decade, Paplauskas served Ward 5 on the Cranston City Council, including a distinguished term as City Council President.

The first Republican elected in Ward 5 in 74 years, Paplauskas is known as a blue-collar champion, having earned the trust of his community by listening, acting, and delivering meaningful results. Whether advocating for good government, connecting neighbors with local businesses, or addressing everyday challenges, Paplauskas has become a steady and trusted voice for Cranston residents.

In 2024, Paplauskas' deep commitment to his neighbors inspired him to run for State Representative in District 15. In a race decided by just 26 votes, his victory was a testament to his belief that every vote, every voice matters. Paplauskas' success reflects the deep connection he shares with his community.

Paplauskas serves on four House standing committees: Oversight, State Government and Elections, Innovation and Technology, and Special Legislation. Paplauskas' connection to Cranston extends beyond his public service. As Deputy Chief of Staff for the City of Cranston, he continues a legacy of hard work and dedication to the community.
