Deepest Condolences on the Passing of Francisco J. Batista

WHEREAS, It is with deep sadness that this House has learned of the passing of Francisco J. “El Grande” Batista. Mr. Batista was the beloved husband of the late Sylvia Batista; and

WHEREAS, Francisco was born in the Dominican Republic, the son of the late Francisco Antonio Batista Beato and Josefina Mendez. Mr. Batista was a successful Realtor with International Real Estate for many years, and worked tirelessly to provide for his family and loved ones. He was known for his warmth, generosity, and devotion to family and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and his many friends; and

WHEREAS, Francisco leaves behind his beloved children, including our friend and colleague, the Honorable Jose F. Batista, Lessett Batista, Chantel Batista, Thalia Batista, Cisco Batista, and Jose A. Perez. Mr. Batista was the loving companion of Jacqueline Perez for years. Mr. Batista was also the brother of Reynaldo Batista, Adriana Mendez, Francisca Batista, Franklin Batista, Fidel Mendez, Marino Mendez, Domenica Santa, Apolinar Mendez, and the late Antonia Batista; now, therefore be it

RESOLVED, That this House of Representatives of the State of Rhode Island hereby expresses its deepest condolences to the Batista Family on the passing of Francisco J. Batista; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the Secretary of State be and hereby is authorized and directed to transmit duly certified copies of this resolution to the family of Francisco J. Batista.
